🔴 4 countries ban PUBG:
🇨🇳 China never allowed it. In 2019 it was replaced by a patriotic clone called "Game for Peace".
🇦🇫 Afghanistan: the Taliban banned it in 2022, saying it promotes violence.
🇯🇴 Jordan has officially banned it since 2019, citing violence and isolation.
🇮🇶 Iraq: parliament voted to ban it in 2019, together with Fortnite.
🟡 1 country allows only a local version: 🇮🇳 India banned PUBG Mobile in 2020 along with 117 other apps. The Indian version, BGMI, has been back since 2023.
🟢 3 countries banned it, then lifted the ban:
🇳🇵 Nepal banned it for just 8 days in 2019, until the Supreme Court stopped the ban, calling it "just a game".
🇵🇰 Pakistan banned it for 30 days in 2020 as "addictive", until a court forced the unban.
🇧🇩 Bangladesh brought it back in 2025 after a 4-year ban. Free Fire is still banned there!
😮 Surprises:
🇰🇷 PUBG was created in South Korea by Krafton (2017).
🇮🇩 Indonesia almost restricted it in November 2025 after a Jakarta school blast.
🇧🇷 Free Fire was briefly rated 18+ in Brazil after a new 2026 kids law.
PUBG has no ban in the other 189 countries.
